Mylor Parish is made up of the two villages of Flushing and Mylor Bridge, plus several small hamlets. The Register of Electors records a population of 2,548 inhabitants. It is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with farming, fishing, tourism and water based activities all playing an important role in the local economy.
The rural nature of the landscape is boarded to the east by the beautiful Fal estuary and creeks, extensively used for recreational and commercial use.
The parish has 4 boatyards and 3 sailing/yacht clubs. The magnificent estates and parklands of Enys, Carclew and Trefusis are a feature of the parish landscape and historical past.
